Seaspray is proudly family owned and family run by Lauren, Mandy and Dave, and our aim is to ensure you have a comfortable and happy stay.
Our Story
We've owned Seaspray since 2020 and ever since we first walked through the door it has felt like such a calm, welcoming and special place. We put a lot of thought into maintaining the tranquility, but also making it as cosy and comfortable as possible for our guests. Pristine cleanliness is as important to us as it is to you, and so we are so pleased to have Catherine from Maid in Whitby as our housekeeper.

Hi I'm Lauren, and I'm one of the co-hosts at Seaspray Whitby. Together with my parents, Mandy and Dave, I work hard to ensure that our guests have a wonderful experience during their stay. While I currently live in Manchester and work in the fashion industry after graduating from the University of Manchester, my heart is in Yorkshire where I grew up. In my free time, knitting and sewing are my creative outlet and I also enjoy going on dog walks, and exploring new places. As a co-host, I'm dedicated to creating a positive and memorable experience for our guests, and I'm here to assist with any questions or recommendations you may need. I'm excited to make your stay at Seaspray Whitby a memorable one! Lauren x

I've been living in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales for over 30 years and have a passion for the outdoors and the natural beauty of Yorkshire. As a surveyor by profession, I have an eye for detail and take pride in making sure Seaspray Whitby is a tranquil and cosy home away from home for all our guests. I am committed to providing a comfortable and welcoming experience, and I'm always adding extras to ensure you settle in relax and unwind. Hi I'm Dave and was born near Whitby, my family has a longstanding connection to Whitby, Egton and Lythe and I'm proud of my heritage. When I'm not working in the fire service I'm an avid walker and love to explore the scenic trails with Bailey our Cocker spaniel as well as indulging in my passion for cooking, drinking real ale and dining out. My knowledge of the local areas and my love of the outdoors make me a great resource for guests making the most of their stay in Whitby.
